16 yaşında bir lise öğrencisi olan Marron, aslında Jeanne d'Arc'ın reenkarnasyonudur. Koruyucu meleği Finn'in yardımıyla Kaitou Jeanne'e dönüşerek karanlık güçlere karşı savaşır. Sanat eserlerinin içine gizlenerek insanların ruhlarını elegeçiren ve onları etki altına alan yaratıkları mühürleyerek yok eder. Ancak yaratıkları mühürlerken sanat eserleri de yok olur. Jeanne'i, sanat eseri hırsızı sanan polis ve polis şefinin kızı olan en yakın arkadaşı Miyako'yla başı derde girer. Bir yandan polisten kaçarken bir yandan da ortaya çıkan yeni bir "hırsız" olan Sinbad'la yarışmak zorunda kalır. Sinbad da yaratıkların peşindedir ama amacı ve kimin adına çalıştığı belli değildir.
