Tanıtım:
12 yaşındaki orta okul öğrencisi Hikaru Shindo, büyük babasının eşyalarını karıştırırken bir "go" tahtası bulur. Üzerindeki kan lekelerini silmeye çalışırken bir hayalet ortaya çıkar. Hayaletin adı Sai Fujiwara'dır. Heian döneminde, imparatorun iki "go" öğretmeninden biridir. Diğer hoca Sai'i saraydan attırmak için onu maça davet eder. Maç esnasında diğer hoca hile yaparken Sai'ye yakalanır. Ama bunu söylemesine fırsat vermeden Sai'yi hilebazlıkla suçlar. Sai saraydan atılır. Başka yapacak hiç bir şeyi kalmayan Sai, intihar eder.
Sai, kendi yaşamında elde edemediği "kami no itte"i, Hikaru sayesinde elde etmeye çalışacaktır.
