Kanji Sasahara artık bir kolej öğrencisidir ve şimdiye kadar içinde sakladığı "Otaku"luk duygularını paylaşabileceği bir klüp arar. "GENdai SHIkaku Bunka KENkyuu Kai" ya da kısaca Genshiken, onun bu duygularını paylaşacağı yerdir.
